Directora, Artista textil y de performance, Diseñadora (teatro y cine)
Diseñadora Colombiana que ha trabajado desde 2010 en proyectos transdisciplinarios, híbridos entre performance, artes textiles, diseño escénico y medios audiovisuales. Explora formatos performáticos visuales y auditivos contemporáneos, con un interés por el trabajo colaborativo y de comunidad con personas no-artistas, no-expertas, gente que encuentra en el arte una forma fue gozar la vida. En su práctica artística, el cuerpo -biológico y social-, es el principal medio y lo expone en sus trabajos con humor y sarcasmo. Tiene también experiencia laboral en la industria textil para hogar y vestuario de mercados populares-masivos, permitiéndole reflexionar sobre la apariencia como una expresión cultural clave que condiciona al cuerpo y la socialización; cuestiona lo tabú, la sexualidad, lo abyecto, lo bello, lo prohibido. En sus proyectos explora la representación de transformaciones corporales a través del diseño de piezas textiles, vestuario u objetos performáticos. Ha sido profesora, conferencista e instructora de talleres en temas relacionados al diseño, tendencias de moda, creación de personajes de ficción, el cuerpo y la ropa. Tiene una maestría en Dirección de teatro colaborativo y del objeto en DAMU en Praga y una en Diseño de textiles en Chelsea college of Art and Design en Londres.

Colombian designer who has been working on transdisciplinary projects since 2010, blending performance, textile arts, scenic design and audiovisual media. She explores contemporary visual and auditory performative formats, with an interest in collaborative and community work engaging with non-artists, non-experts, people who find in arts a way of enjoying life. In her artistic practice, the body -both biological and social- is the main medium, and she exposes it in her work with humor and sarcasm. She also has work experience in the mass-popular market of textile industry (home and clothing), allowing her to reflect on appearance as a key cultural expression that conditions the body and socialization. She questions taboos, sexuality, the abject, the beautiful, the forbidden. In her projects, she explores the representation of body transformations through the design of textile pieces, costumes, or performative objects. She has been a teacher, lecturer, and workshop instructor in topics related to design, fashion trends, fictional characters, the body, and clothing. She has a master's degree in Direction of Devised and Object Theater in DAMU in Prague and another in Textile Design in Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.
