NOCHE DE PISCOLABIS, work in progress︎

TRANSATLANTIC DISCO BOAT, 2021

[ENG] With your imagination and other little things we will catch your attention. You have won tickets to travel all across from Poland to Colombia on a ship. You will cross the Atlantic Ocean as a group.

Animals, imaginary creatures, objects, wind and ghosts from dreams also join this journey.

[ENG] Transatlantic Disco Boat is an international collective experience that creates a reason for people to listen and dance together to music. It is an audio staged party with a live DJ set. The dramaturgy of the party is followed by the storyline of a “disco boat” that is traveling through the world of music - Cumbia, Reggae, Rap, Dance, Romantic, Techno, POP and so on. The “disco boat” takes the participants into a journey to demonstrate the liquid state of music, by exploring the clashes and appropriations in different cultures. During the performance the participants are guided with dancing instructions performed by the DJ and other performers who belong to particular dance cultures. Scores to dance romantically with a partner, to dance enthusiastically, to dance sexy on one's own, to follow the waves of the sea, and so on.

Participants can engage in the “disco boat” with their bodies through dancing, to share rhythms, to connect and to combine energy from one to another. The journey on the boat is a reason to express together joy, release, sensuality, love and unity.

Performers:  Daniel victoria, Aljoša Lovrić, Michał Salwiński, Susana Botero Santos.

CONTINUUM, 2021

Online performative dialogue by Cristina Maldonado (Mex) and Isa Juchniewicz (Poland)

[ENG] A piece that re-imagines media to awaken the body and meet the other. Prolonged isolation shows us the need we have for the other to exist. It is the presence of the other that invokes our own presence. It proposes a symbolic space that accumulates presences of the public and the performers to form temporary and ephemeral identities.

DO YOU KNOW A PLACE THAT DOESN´T EXIST ANYMORE, 2022

Participatory performance by Mara Ingea (Lebanon)

[ENG] Memories are linked to places, but what is the true power of this connection when architectures from the past resurface and bring along special moments? An invitation to take the risk of remembering. To risk bringing back details, sensations and emotions linked to places that got lost. It is an invitation to share and pay tribute to places, portions of space, corners of the past.

LA SEÑORA MENUDENCIA / CARAS AND ME, 2013

The imposed rules to be chic or beautiful.
Plasticity vs. myself.
My skin transformed to be exhibited in a social lifestyle magazine. The digital elimination of freckles and moles, as they are considered out of the beauty norm. My face covered by at least 4 layers of make-up. Dress and shoes that are not mine, but are chosen to depict who I am.
Appearances to fit, to be accepted.
An article about me, and my job.
An article against me and in collision with my job.

Everyone and everything are very welcome!
